I don't have a very good summary of the concert, but just thought I'd post about it, anyway.
- Kyo performed these awesome solo demon things O_O CANNOT EXPLAIN. PURE AWESOME. His growling and those other crazy sounds he made were really captivating
- They played more slower songs that crazy songs, which was a liiiittle disappointing, but it's fine <3
- The crowd was so-so (Toronto concert last year was better)
- LOTS of people knew the words, so it was amazing <3
- Setlist was mostly older songs rather than songs from their new album, which was great for me
- During the slow-paced songs, I felt like I was falling into a trance. The music and Kyo's vocals were just...amazing.
- I'm really tempted to go to the Tempe, AZ show on November 28th. I don't want to go alone (my boyfriend won't go with me for sure, LOL), but maybe I will :3!!!
Everything about it was amazing. Human Abstract (opening band) didn’t perform. I later found out it’s because one of the band members had an expired visa, hahahahaha. So, the venue did pretty well to keep us entertained. They had the hockey game (Montreal vs Philadelphia). Everyone freaked out whenever Montreal did something good or there was a fight :x After that, they projected three live performances of Deg, which really got the crowd pumped. Also, they played other JRock songs, such as hide - DOUBT. <333
SETLIST (in no order)
- SA BIR
- OBSCURE
- RYOUJOKU NO AME
- SPILLED MILK
- CONCEIVED SORROW <33
- CLEVER SLEAZOID
- SAKU
- THE FINAL
- KODOU (OMG, this song was amazing)
- TOGORU
- AGITATED SCREAMS OF MAGGOTS (I think, not sure @_@)
They were also giving autographs, but only if you had a CD. The CDs were only $15. Strangely enough, it says "NOT FOR SALE IN JAPAN. EXPIRES IN 2012," on the back. My friend thought that meant the CD would stop playing in 2012, ROFL. But, I think it might mean the restriction ends in 2012? I'm not sure. Does anyone have any info about this?

| Two Requests: The Origin of Pain Interview + Award Macro |
[17 Nov 2008|04:44pm] |
|
1. A translation of The Origin of Pain interview Kyo did a few years back. Y’know, the absurdly long one with three fourths of it censured for some God awful reason? I’m sure there was a site dedicated to the entire thing, which is where I read it before, but it must have been taken down. 2. The macro with a screen cap of Kyo from Saku, saying “We’re in your country, winning your awards” that came out after Diru won the Headbanger’s Ball video…thing.

My friend sent me a message about going to see DEG in Massachusetts on Nov. 26th. After checking the ticketmaster site, there is a date in MA listed, but they're also listed to be in Texas on the same day. I checked the official site, which says Texas for the 26th, but I just wanted to check to see if there was maybe an issue at the Palladium Ballroom or if Ticketmaster is just cruelly getting my hopes up. Any info/opinions will help, thanks all.

Part I of my live report for the Toronto show is here. More will come later, and I apologize for the multiple postings but I can't write it all at once. :)
Also, I'm sorry for this stupid question, but I have not been 'following' the band for most of 2008. *hand slap* What is with the tour name, the rose trims again? All I can think of is a gardener standing on his rake saying, "the rose trims? again?".

| Came back from Montréal a few hours ago |
[17 Nov 2008|04:19pm] |
It’s a bit hard to put in words what I felt when Kyo arrived in front of us, standing like a prince in front of the crowd. Even to me, I can’t believe the fact that I’ve been there, in Montréal and that I saw Dir en Grey for the first, but not the least show in my life. ( As if words could tell what I felt )

| Wiltern Floor Tickets |
[16 Nov 2008|06:50pm] |

Due to certain problems, my friend and I are sadly unable to attend Dir en grey’s L.A. date. All these live reports had me so pumped for the show but I really just can't make it. So I am selling 2 General Admission Floor tickets, both for $75. Or if you just want one, then it’s $40. However, I am willing to negotiate. I don't want them to go to waste. Let me know if interested.

So I am going to have to sell my ticket for Sauget, IL. I bought it for $35 with all the fees but am selling it for $25 but am willing to negotiate. I accept paypal, money orders or well concealed cash. I do need to know A.S.A.P though.
Also for anyone who got the DVD with the special edition, where you weirded out by the camera moving around? It kind of annoyed me and also how it would zoom in on a weird spot.

| Nov 8th interview raw file |
[15 Nov 2008|07:10pm] |
Here's the unedited audio file for the November 8th interview and a transcript. We got a late start so I couldn't ask everything I wanted to, and I forgot to give out some people's names for their questions ^^ Only Kaoru was there. In some questions he inadvertently answered others I had, but I asked some of them anyway just to clarify. My Japanese is eh so there are some parts where Kaoru sounded like he was just saying "hamawakiyahaka" and I had no idea what to write in the transcript, so those parts have blank spaces. If someone who is better at Japanese wants to fill the blanks in, please do! Nora was the translator. I also totally forgot to get a picture.

WUOG: You said in another interview that Uroboros will have an oriental sound. What does "oriental" mean and why did you want to go in that direction?

| VIP Ticket and Autographed CD Winners |

I have a question for those of you who won VIP tickets and your copies of the CD autographed.
Have any of you received your autographed CD yet?
I received the copy I ordered, but it is not autographed. From the wording of the contest, I was under the impression that the copy I bought and paid for would be autographed prior to being shipped. Does anyone know what's going on?
I know VIP ticket holders have the opportunity to go backstage to meet the band, but since I've been reading that Kyo has not been in attendence, it would be great to receive my copy autographed by the entire band rather than taking it with me to get it signed by only four of them...especially since Kyo is my favorite member.
I just thought some of you might have some information. ^_^; Thanks!

Okay so someone at the concert was behind me and was totally kick ass and I shared a few lulz with during the whole show and I figured: Hey, she might be on here 8D.
So yeah. I was against the rail directly in front of Die and (if you're on here) before the show started you announced that we would be close friends during the show and ...well. You grabbed my ass. I think you were with a guy that was taking pictures, or at least you two seemed to act like you knew each other? :P Which made me laugh so hard And I was standing next to a boy who was snapping pictures like it was a contest and we showed you the picture of Kyo with his arms out and the mic hanging from his hand and I told you I was making a 'You have played the God card. You win.' picture out of it? And you gave him your e-mail and cellphone number so he could send you the pictures/setlist?
And Bobby if you're on here too, OHAY! x3
PS: Boston concert = best one of them all. Everyone singing along was the most beautiful thing I've ever heard. Not to mention it was the first time I heard people singing along that weren't just me and my friends. EVERYONE. Was singing. And screaming with Kyo which was hilarious but awesome at the same time.
